"Buzz" completed his title as a puppy and after an exciting weekend in
New
York City with
his breeder/owner (where he was awarded BOB at the
Progressive KC all toy show, and
received Awards of Merit at both the
Pekingese Club of America specialty AND
Westminster)
as a 14 month
old, he was purchased by Herbert and Erna Holcombe. They entrusted his
specials career to handler Brenda Scheiblauer, and he had an exciting
career indeed. He
was awarded multiple Specialty Bests in Show, multiple All-Breed
Bests In Show, and numerous
group wins before being retired. Until 2011, he
remained in Herb
and Erna's names and lived here with
us. Thanks to the Holcombe's kindness, Buzz was transferred to a
co-ownership between Erna and me. I cannot express how grateful I am to them
both! Buzz has sired 26
champions (and thus has been awarded his Sire of
Distinction status by both The Pekingese Club of America and The Pekingese
Association), most notably the
Holcombe's homebred
multiple
Best In Show winner, Ch Linn-Lee's St.
Martin (click here to see
"Marty").
Buzz's 26th champion (Muhlin Sweet Charity) was from his final litter of three
girls and a boy, whelped weeks after his 13th birthday. Sadly, we lost our grand
old man just two weeks before his 14th birthday. Our lives will never be the
same, but we feel so blessed to have had him.
